Music for an elegant affair - Classic American Standards set a sophisticated tone for your event. This includes music of Porter, Gershwin, Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, and a host of others. This music is great for dancing with songs that all ages will recognize and enjoy.
Motown and R&B - James Brown gets featured here along with the Temptations, Jackson Five, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, and others. Songs like I Feel Good, Let's Stay Together, My Girl, and Respect get people up on the dance floor, while our dynamic vocalists wow your guests.
Disco & 70's/80's Dance Hits - The driving beat and great songs that everyone knows will ensure a packed dance floor. Our New York horn sections will blow you away. Our orchestra will inspire your guests to participate and help make your party the big hit of the season.
Romantic Love Songs - This includes song stylings from Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Luther Vandross, Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand. Evergreen songs such as Someone to Watch Over Me, I've Got a Crush on You, You Go to My Head and Embraceable You also fall into this category and feature a lyrical tradition which has withstood the test of time.
Contemporary/Top 40 - We update our "current music" repertoire on a monthly basis. It's an ongoing process of learning new material and discarding songs no longer in vogue. Please call us closer to the date of your affair if you wish to include music that's "in" at that time.
Big Band Swing - Moonlight Serenade, In the Mood, String of Pearls, and Take the 'A' Train are just some of the hits of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, and Harry Connick, Jr. that will keep toes tapping and the joint jumpin'!
Classic Rock - Whether it be Springsteen, Van Morrison, the Rolling Stones, Elvis, or Chubby Checker, classic rock hits are familiar to all. Each song brings back the special memory associated with it.
Ethnic Music
We specialize in weaving your ethnic component into the musical selections at your affair while at the same time maintaining a good balance of popular American music. Many of our professional entertainers and vocalists are multi-lingual and are therefore able to sing and make announcements in several languages. Please speak to us regarding your particular requirements.
Classical & Chamber Music
Your guests will enjoy beautiful classical music for listening during a cocktail reception or ceremony. Our classical ensembles play from an extensive repertoire list. In addition to classical music, our ensembles can also play lighter fare including: Broadway show tunes, Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Scott Joplin, and popular love songs of the day. We offer a variety of classical ensembles including our String Quartet (two violins, viola, and cello), our Classical Trio (flute, violin, and cello), Harp & Flute, Classical Guitar, Ceremonial Brass, Strolling Violins, or simply one of our accomplished pianists at the Grand Piano.
Special Music Preparation
Jerry Kravat offers you the services of our 'in house' production staff who can arrange and orchestrate special pieces of music to help make your affair unique. This service is offered in most cases at no charge to our clients. At your affair, our bandleader will use his experience and judgment, in addition to your own personal requests, to create a cohesive flow of song selections so that all of your guests will participate and enjoy the evening to the full! We work hard to make your event something very special.
