Big Bands often come with a vocalist.
These days we may recommend a smaller group while keeping the four sections. This will give you the amazing sound and complexity of this music while being quite affordable.
Famous Big Bands of the 30's and 40's were led by Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Glenn Miller. There are contempory Big Bands, too. For example, check out the Phil Collins Big Band!

What is a Big Band? Good question... glad you asked!
Traditionally a Big Band is made up of 'sections': The rhythm section, the trumpet section; the sax section; and the trombone section. Add a male and female vocalist... And that can mean upwards to 15 people, or more... Smokin'!
